Fire and Flow
Meet Tim March, aka TimTv, creative parent of The Secret Cirkus, our local thrilling sideshow. Truth be told, “sideshow” falls short of describing Tim’s vision of his special brand of entertainment. In his words, "Arts like classic circus (trapeze, bullwhip, acrobatics & clowning), sideshow (contortion, glass-walking, bed of nails), fire arts (fire eating, breathing, spinning), burlesque, and vaudeville, etc. exist in their own special corner of the performing world. We've made a network here in Greenville to encourage and support those artists.”
Tim was born in Missouri, raised in Massachusetts, ruined in Detroit, Michigan, and recovering here in Greenville, SC.
“I love this town.”
His most recent birth, Fire and Flow, located at Greenville’s Ninjaplex was designed to encourage you to play with a large variety of props and toys (for twirling and juggling) as well as aerial stations for trying your hand (legs and torso) at trapeze. Lyra and silks are also available for the brave. Come on… you know you want to! “Our goal is to create a fully 3-dimensional sensory experience; not just for the audience, but for ourselves as well. Our show is active, interactive, celebratory & participatory!"
Besides his bi-monthly Fire and Flow extravaganza, Tim will bring his adventure to you. Options include stage shows, street performance, strolling entertainment, workshops and seminars. He has performed in nightclubs, parties and weddings, corporate events and festivals as well as theaters and galleries. But be prepared to revisit both your childhood and your idea of entertainment.
In Tim’s words, “Our goal is to TRANSCEND convention and the boundaries set therein, ORCHESTRATE a dream world for our audience to be swept up during our time together, and INSPIRE them to bring that dream to light out in the Default World. It's a lofty aspiration, true, but when you understand your mission, it's not hard to jump in to it with both feet. And a flaming hula-hoop.”
