Tacos & Mas
Owners Hector and Ana Batista fulfilled a long time dream when Tacos & Mas opened its doors in October 2017. The couple immigrated to Atlanta as teenagers from their native Dominican Republic. Hector's background as a classically trained chef, combined with Ana's restaurant management expertise creates a Latin American dining experience not to be missed..
Have a seat at one of the rustic tables (designed by Hector), and let the friendly wait staff take good care of you. Nosh on a complimentary basket of homemade tortilla chips dipped in a special House Sauce while you choose from an extensive menu of delicious Latin American offerings.
Tacos & Mas' staff is passionate about making sure every diner experiences the very best in Latin American cuisine and hospitality.
“I want people to leave feeling like they’re a friend, not just a customer,” Hector says.
Skip the fast food drive-thru and catch up with your kids over delicious tacos, sandwiches and more. All are made with both locally-grown and exotic ingredients and fresh, sustainable meats and veggies. Be sure to save room for guava bread pudding, Chocoflan Mexicano and other sublime desserts.
Drawing on his 15 years as an executive chef, Hector created Tacos & Mas' twelve different varieties of tacos. The flour tortillas, already a big hit, are handmade from a recipe one of Hector's cooks brought from Mexico.
As the name suggests, Tacos & Mas offers a range of palette pleasing dishes beyond tacos. The Mas section of the menu highlights entrees based on family recipes from Ana’s childhood. Tasty vegetarian options are available, and 80% of the overall menu is gluten free.
Piled high with roasted pork, smoked ham, Swiss cheese and pickles, the Sandwich Cubano pairs perfectly with sweet plantains and an ice cold cerveza.
Bite into a hearty D.R. Chimi, (Dominican Burger) featuring a beef patty seasoned with sofrito and Adobo, sautéed cabbage, and green tomatoes on toasted Cuban bread.
Sip a cerveza or a glass of wine at Tacos & Mas’ Happy Hour, weekdays from 4-7pm. Margaritas, mojitos, and Cuba Libres will also be added in the near future.
When the weather turns warm, head to the patio to dine al fresco. Big screen TVs and live music will be added in the coming months, perfect for kicking back on those Carolina summer nights.
So come in, relax and be transported to a Latin American oasis right here in our corner of the world.
