Pickens County Flea Market and Pickens Bargain Exchange Flea Market are home to the area’s largest yard sale providing quality vendors in a family friendly environment. Pickens Bargain Exchange stands out with its continuous shed, the longest in South Carolina stretching ¼ mile with room for over 100 tables.
Robert Perry, The Mountain Man, plays the mountain bass with dancing girlfriend, Sharen. She explains that “Robert always has a JAM IN, it’s not a band. Whoever shows up is free to play and sing.” For the last 20 years, he’s been playing every Wednesday and both are daily cloggers who make their rounds.
Don’t miss the authentic Mexican food at “Delicias Maria” where $3 gets you a HUGE cup of Aqua Fresca, a refreshing flavored water in a variety of tropical fruit flavors. The street tacos are QUE RICO delicious for $2 each, your choice of carnitas, carne asada, al pastor, or pollo. Red and green salsa are on the tables.
Mac and Guy, proud members of American Legion Post 11, have a regular stand selling and chatting it up with the many visitors that pass their table.
While the post office might already have their picture, Mac claims to have a picture of Marilyn Monroe in the backseat of his car. He’ll take $100 for it, but he's okay with only taking half.
Ya'll come out and see what the Pickens Flea Markets have for you. You’ll never know what treasures await…. you’re just going to have to find out yourself.
