Meet the incredibly beautiful and talented Katie Cotton.
As the daughter of a theater family, her dad Kip Shawger was a set designer and her mom, Carma was a costume designer. She knew that she wanted to be part of this industry. She took Greenville by the horns and hasn't let go yet!

Katie came to Greenville from Los Angeles in 2006 to start a family and to be closer to relatives. Upon moving to the Upstate she began to rebuild her career as an 'on location' makeup artist working both in commercial production as well as bridal work.
Katie wanted to create a brand that allowed all women to feel like the celebrity clients she had worked with in the past. “Everyone’s a star and deserves the right to twinkle,” Katie quotes Marilyn Monroe. She chose her new brand name of Cotton Rouge, which later grew into Cotton Rouge & Company.
Ten years later, Katie’s businesses are thriving. With the invaluable Latia Curtis managing the team of 20+ makeup artists, a growing boudoir photography business and over 600-700 weddings per year, these girls cannot be stopped.
Located in Taylor's Mill, Katie, along with husband Greg Cotton, are co-owners with majority owner Caleb Lewis of Taylors Mill. I know. Exhausting just thinking about it. Katie certainly has proven to the Upstate that when it comes to hair and makeup Cotton Rouge & Company are leaders.
With a background in theatre, photography, and commercial production work you really can’t ask for a better understanding and love for the business. Thanks Katie for making us all look like rock stars.
